….JACKET ventilator or raincoat ventilator is a portable and lighter version of the earlier Iron Lung ventilator, which works by repressurizing and depressurizing around the chest!

P.S. ….NEGATIVE pressure ventilator (NPV) applies negative air pressure to expand the lungs for inspiration and positive pressure to contract the chest for exhalation.

ADVANTAGEOUS for patients with neuromuscular problem but having normal lung compliance and airway resistance! Main disadvantage is aspiration of secretions and vomit; tongue fall causing airway obstruction!
